Murano Global. Vacancy Senior ERP Solution Engineer – North America

Senior ERP Solution Engineer – North America

Location: United States

This vacancy is open on our outsourcing project.

The client is a US company, a globally recognized lifestyle and fashion brand known for denim, apparel, accessories, handbags, watches, and fragrances.

The Role

The Senior ERP Solution Engineer defines the end-to-end architecture of the Stealth 400 ERP platform and guides its evolution, ensuring that business processes (Finance, Supply Chain, Production, Wholesale and Retail, Procurement) are supported by scalable, integrated and sustainable solutions. The role works closely with IT, Business and external partners, and is the technical reference for design decisions on transformation programs, international rollouts and integrations.

The position is based in the United States and was created for the project to extend Stealth 400, currently used in Europe, to North America (United States and Canada).

Key Responsibilities

North America rollout project

  • Act as the on-site point of reference and as the link between the North American business and the Stealth managers in Europe, with whom the role works closely.
  • Gather local requirements and run the fit-gap analysis against the European version, deciding what stays standard and what must be localized.
  • Define gaps and design the localizations for the United States and Canada: sales tax, US GAAP and reporting, invoicing, EDI with retailers and wholesale customers, carriers and 3PLs, payments; for Canada also GST/HST/PST, CAD currency and French-language requirements (Québec).
  • Assess the deployment model (cloud or US hosting) and the coexistence architecture with the European instance, including performance and data residency.
  • Coordinate integrations with local systems (e-commerce, POS, WMS, payroll, banks, tax engine), always consulting Europe, which owns the ERP systems, before any integration decision.
  • Contribute to planning, estimates, risks, cutover and go-live; support training and hypercare for US users.
  • Manage local system integrators and vendors in compliance with the standards defined by the European team.
  • Maintain regular alignment with Europe (recurring meetings, time zone management) and document design decisions.
  • After go-live, become the reference for ERP systems in North America (Stealth and JDA 400 for retail): roadmap, change priorities, support to the countries and coordination with the European teams.
  • Ensure consistency between Stealth and JDA 400 in retail processes and related integrations.

Architecture and governance

  • Always operate under the guidance of the European managers: every system, design, integration or priority decision must be agreed and validated with Europe before it is started.
  • Contribute to defining and maintaining the target ERP architecture in North America (application, data, integration and infrastructure), aligned with IT and business strategy and with the guidelines set by Europe.
  • Translate business requirements into design solutions: fit-gap analysis, choice between standard, configuration and extensions, limiting customizations to simplify upgrades.
  • Propose and lead, subject to Europe's approval, the design of integrations between the ERP and satellite systems (Retail, e-commerce, WMS, POS, PLM, BI) through APIs, middleware and event-driven architectures, in line with the standards and decisions of Europe, owner of the ERP systems.
  • Contribute to the quality and consistency of solutions in the North American scope: technical reviews, compliance with development standards and technical debt reporting, following the decisions of the European design authority.
  • Support migration and rollout programs (e.g. upgrades to new Stealth releases or evolution towards the cloud), including data migration strategy, cutover and go-live.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers, Product Owners, Business Process Owners and system integrators to estimate, plan and deliver initiatives.
  • Ensure performance, security, compliance (SOX, GDPR, internal controls) and operational continuity of the solutions.
  • Mentor Solution Designers, Consultants and Developers, promoting best practices and skills growth.
  • Evaluate new technologies and trends (cloud, automation, AI) and propose their adoption with clear business cases.
  • Evaluate business requirements and propose the best combination of solutions (products or services), to be submitted to the European managers for approval, then leading its delivery in North America.
  • Act as the connecting piece between enterprise architecture and technical architecture, with a broad view of the technical and business workings of the company.
  • Oversee technological risks and make sure the proposed solution is consistent and meets all requirements.
  • Provide technical support to users, analyzing and troubleshooting issues on Stealth and JDA 400.

  • ERP rollout experience in new countries, preferably in North America (United States and Canada), with knowledge of local tax, accounting and compliance requirements.
  • Knowledge of JDA 400 for retail processes is an additional plus beyond Stealth. Residency in North America and the right to work in the United States.

  • Technical leadership, problem-solving orientation and ability to negotiate trade-offs between requirements and constraints.
  • Excellent written and spoken English; knowledge of Italian is a plus.
  • Ability to work under guidance, respecting the governance and decisions made by Europe, and to flag risks and blockers promptly.
  • Autonomy in remote work with a European team in a different time zone, and willingness to travel periodically to Europe.

  • Official certification or training on Stealth and/or TOGAF; knowledge of other enterprise ERPs (e.g. SAP S/4HANA, JDA, Stealth, MD365, ) as an additional plus.
  • Experience in the fashion and luxury sectors, with knowledge of omnichannel processes and subcontract manufacturing.
