Murano Global. Vacancy Project Manager

Project Manager

Location: United States

This vacancy is open on our outsourcing project.

The client is an US company, a globally recognized lifestyle and fashion brand known for denim, apparel, accessories, handbags, watches, and fragrances.

Position Purpose:

Lead end-to-end delivery of technology projects that support and modernize the North American retail, wholesale, e-commerce, and distribution estate. Primary focus is on the Stealth ERP (Fashion Platform) environment and its integrations with POS, order management, warehouse/DC systems, e-commerce, EDI, and finance interfaces. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget, without disrupting peak trading, store operations, or DC performance. Act as the key interface between business stakeholders, the MIS team, global domain owners, vendors, and the Director of Technology.

Key responsibilities:

  • Plan, execute, and close projects involving Stealth ERP configuration, enhancements, upgrades, integrations, data flows, and process changes across retail, wholesale, planning, inventory, order-to-cash, and related processes.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, RAID logs (risks, assumptions, issues, dependencies), budgets, and status reporting; track progress against milestones and business outcomes.
  • Gather, structure, and prioritize requirements from retail, wholesale, finance, operations, and logistics stakeholders; facilitate workshops, steering meetings, and change-control processes.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams (internal MIS applications/infrastructure/service desk, business process owners, contractors, and vendors) and manage external partners, including SOW oversight and knowledge transfer.
  • Support the broader modernization roadmap: retiring or integrating legacy/AS400-era elements, moving toward API/event-driven integrations, data landing in Snowflake or equivalent, and alignment with global architecture (e.g., Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Workday, OneStream, and related platforms).
  • Ensure change management, training, UAT, cutover, hypercare, and operational handover so that store openings, DC activities, and peak trading are protected.
  • Maintain strong governance, documentation, and audit readiness (including awareness of SOX IT general controls and PCI where relevant).
  • Contribute to team capability building and continuous improvement; use structured methodologies (hybrid Agile/Waterfall) and modern PM tools.

Position requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5–8+ years of project management experience delivering technology or ERP projects, preferably in multi-site retail, wholesale, fashion/apparel, or consumer goods.
  • Working knowledge of Stealth ERP(Dedagroup Stealth Fashion Platform) — configuration, modules (supply chain, order management, retail/omnichannel, inventory, etc.), integrations, or implementation/support experience. Strong transferable experience with other fashion/retail ERPs (e.g., similar platforms, Jesta, JDA, BlueCherry, or comparable) will be considered if accompanied by demonstrated ability to ramp quickly.
  • Proven track record managing full project lifecycles in environments with integrations across ERP, POS, OMS, WMS/DC, e-commerce, and EDI.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and facilitation skills; ability to work with both technical teams and non-technical business users.
  • Experience with project tools (MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira/Confluence, or equivalent), RAID management, budgeting, and status reporting to senior leaders.
  • Based in or willing to relocate to Los Angeles; comfortable with on-site presence and some travel.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent certification; Agile/Scrum experience.
  • Direct experience in fashion/apparel retail or wholesale systems modernization or ERP upgrades/integrations while the business continued trading.
  • Exposure to cloud migration patterns, API/event-based integration, Snowflake or similar data platforms, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Workday, or OneStream.
  • Experience managing vendors/contractors, knowledge transfer, or reducing reliance on external resources.
  • Familiarity with SOX ITGCs, PCI DSS, or retail peak-trading constraints.
  • AI-assisted delivery tools for documentation, requirements, or testing.

We're offering:

  • Ability to work remotely;
  • Competitive salary;
  • Up to 10 working days for recreational purposes per year;
  • Up to 5 working days of absences for illness per year;
  • Company sponsored events.

*The specified number of vacation and sick days is based on a full year of employment (12 months)

If you fit this position, we'd love to see your CV!
