About the client

As a Senior PHP Developer, you will be a key member of an engineering team with lots of growth potential. You'll work closely with the product and operational support teams to develop both new and refactor existing features for our platform. You will participate in a tight development team that cooperatively designs, codes, peer reviews and mentors each other, setting a high bar for quality.
You will also play a critical role in advancing our platform and expanding its scope. Our team works on an enterprise system, supporting consumer clientele disability claims to receive government benefits. Here's your chance to work on a project that has direct high impact potential for consumers.

Responsibilities

• Code, troubleshot, test, and maintain platform build-out in PHP to ensure strong optimization and
  functionality.
• Contribute in all phases of the development cycle, including input on feature development and
  process improvement.
• Develop and deploy new features to support an evolving enterprise platform for internal business
  users.
• Optimize user base interaction.
• Maintain understanding of current web technologies and programming practices.

Required Experience:

• In depth knowledge (7+ years of experience) in LAMP technology.
• Hands-on experience with a PHP Framework: Laminas, Laravel, etc in a professional setting.
• Strong creative problem-solving ability.
• Technical proficiency required with the following: Linux, Apache/NGINX web servers, PHP, MySQL/Maria, PostgreSQL DB database design.
• Web service integration using technologies such as REST, XML, SOAP.
• AJAX application including parsing and rendering JSON and XML.
• Front-end technologies such as JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Experience in the full life cycle of software development; requirements analysis, design,
  development, testing, implementation.
• Leadership skills; experience mentoring and leading other developers.
• Familiarity with process modeling techniques.
• Knowledge of code and release management.
• Experience in creating software architecture documents or other design artifacts.
• Experience working with message queue technology is a plus.
• Experience working with a Kubernetes environment is a plus.
• Experience with a corporate application is a plus.
• BS or MS in Computer Science or related field.
